Details
In 1964 Mini updated the fuel gauge system to include a voltage stabilser, this means that the gauge has to be matched to both the fuel tank sender unit and voltage supply.
All Smiths in speedo and also the 52mm independent fuel gauges will use either the BR1307-00NEG or BR1307-00POS depending on if your Mini has a negative or positive earth electrical system.
These units provides a 10 volt stabilised supply and will require a sender unit with the following resistance, to read correctly :
- 240 Ohms - EMPTY, 67 Ohms - HALF FULL, 20 Ohms - FULL
