Alternatively you can use the KGB10027 subframe for the Mini SPi 1990 on, which had a curve in the front crossmember to allow the engine to sit further forward. This is particularly useful if you are planning to fit a 1275 engine instead of the standard 998 used on Minis during these years. But don't forget to change to the longer top engine steady bar (21A1817)
