KAD1012070 Mini rear brake disc and caliper conversion kit.
This has been developed as a lightweight alternative to drum brakes. The rear disc brake conversion combines hydraulic operation for the foot brake with an effective mechanical handbrake allowing discs to be fitted to both road legal and competition cars.
The calipers are a single piston sliding type, fully dust sealed and machined from billet aluminium. The hubs, carrying a lightweight steel disc are CNC machined from billet aluminium and accept standard Mini taper wheel bearings.
The kits are supplied complete with all of the parts to convert from drum to disc brake and use the standard handbrake cables. The kit will fit under 10" wheels and has been designed with both road and competition usage in mind.
Weighing in at 2.8kg it is substantially lighter than any alloy drum combination.
Please note that these kits are now supplied with solid not drilled discs
