This simplex (single) timing chain is a direct replacement for all simplex (single row) timing set ups, including the Mini Sport Siplex timing gear sets.

The timing chain is one of the most important engine tuning parts on any Mini engine. As it directly controls the camshaft timing, any stretch or wear can result in a major loss of performance.

As a cambelt is replaced at regular service intervals on other engine types then replacing the timing chain at the same service interval will make sure your engine performs at its best throughout its life. A sensible service interval would be approx 60,000 mile or 100,000 klms.
