This is the small, 4 bolted flange which fits into the gearbox which the Hardy Spicer drive coupling bolts to. 2 required per gearbox.
The Hardy Spicer universal joint type drive coupling was fitted to the Mini Cooper S and to the Mini automatic prior to the introduction of the pot joint - ADU4378 - in 1976.
All other pre 1976 Minis were fitted with rubber cross drive couplings - GCD101.
