Details
Early Mini saloon rear seat covers had Dunlopillo base cushions (no longer available) with a Horse hair pad to support the squab cover. This pad was glued to a metal bar that sat in the recess of the rear parcel shelf. Later cars from about 1961 actually had a wire metal frame onto which was glued a foam pad of about 2" thick.
From this information you can decide which cushions and paddings you may require. The seat cover kit includes the Squab and base cover.
